The Beaumonde Industries BARRATORA Class Assault Boat is designed to deliver small
assault troops  to any destination with maximum survivability.   The 120 tonne cargo bay has
modular starboard & port doors that can interchanged to launch grav vehicles or drop capsules
with equal ease.  The Barratora can carry up to 60 marines + officers & carry up to 90 tonnes of
vehicles.   The Barratora is often used as a patrol ship or revenue cutter using its marine
contingent as board parties.  Barratoras are often carried by larger naval vessels.

The Barratora is used by the navies of  much of the Mapepire Cluster, Guildheim(20), & Die
Weltbund(163).
A few vessels  are used by pirates & LOFWIA.   Seven Barratoras were lost in the recent
Nervenheilanstalt conflict, some of which has been put back into service by locals.

The Maladroit Jeste was the last addition to the House of Lords fleet, built from captured prizes to Deron
Cortez's
specs.  It has a massive, Beaumonde-built avionics suite which allows it to jam sensors /communications in
any ship
under 15,000 tonnes & any tech level, manned his electronics specialist, the Poicxh  Wheiv.   The Maladroit
Jeste
registry is Bloodgard, though its home port is Trayfowen, where Deron has  32% interest in Kaledoi Casino.
The odd dockring/hangar  door arrangement at the bow of the cargo is adjustable to most docking rings.  The
rotary
laser cutters allows the Leste make her dicking arrangements in ships, space stattions, building, etc.  The
ring is used to put large boarding parties to quickly enter a target ship.  The docked ship's boat's 1 beam
laser & quad VRF gauss guns
can give fire support to the boarding party.
BEAUMONDE INDUSTRIES CHOVIX CLASS 300 TONNE  ARMED JUMP TRACTOR.
The  Chovix jump tractor is a common site in the spinward sections of The Beyond, trailing sections of the
Vanguard Reaches.   Over 2100  examples of tjhis vessels has been built by Beaumondes Industries since its
inception in 1082.
Its armour, firepower, speed & agility combined cargo capacity  makes it a very useful vessel, especially in
the more dangerous section of the Beyond, Vanguard Reaches, Foreven, & Far Frontier sectors.   It can
carry cargo by cargo net, or by 100, 200, 300, & 400 tonne cargo pods.   Its powerful manuver & jumpdrives
can haul cargo up to 100 tonnes with loss of jump capability or manuver speed.    Over 100 tonnes its
manuver & jump capability is reduced by 1 for every100 tonnes of cargo.   Besides shipping lines, the
Chovix is popular among free traders who mainly use second-hand Chovixes.   The Chovix has become
increasingly used by corsairs, (especially by Webrunners) who find it useful to tow disabled prizes away
from the scene of attack.  The Chovix can be use a a fighter tender, carrying  6-9 fighters on a tubular
module hooked into the ship's dockring.  The System navy of Guilhelm has 12 of these fighters tenders built
under  license by Chobi-Guilhelm Aerospace.   There is also a belter variant, the Mocodoma, which has an
armour factor of 5, & has one or two of the turrets armed with laser cutters instead of combat lasers.  The  
acceleration of this model is only 4G.

Another legacy of the late, unlamented, Reyno Beaumonde is The Obelisk.  Built in secret for the
League of Free Worlds Insurgent Army, The Obelisk is a mobile meson gun platform. built from a
meson gun built ostensibly for the Die Weltbund Navy; & the jump carrier Calliope which was
supposed to carry it to Bundestag for testing.
The Calliope was in reality designed to break apart & form the bridge, living quarters, & engineering
section  of The Obelisk.  The meson gun, its fircontrol center, was already in secret armored by
Beaumonde work crews with
spaces built into it for turrets & glaciation generators.    The glaciation generators forms a
'snowball' effect around
the ship disguising it outlines & rendering it as a icy planetoid to sensors.  Its odd mix of laser turret
s stems from its  turret weapons  being culled from LOFWIA victims.

The Obelisk is meant for terror raids or ambushing major naval units..  Despite its armor, The
Obelisks lack of manuver speed & agility would be fatal in a prolonged action against any naval
vessel of 10,0000 tonnes & up.

It currently captained by Anedil Anidiikerib, an Imperial outlaw in charge of its  naval terror
campaigns. The Obelisk has been responsible for the destruction of a Die Weltbund destroyer
squadron in the Schloss Adler system
and a planetary  monitor off Friedland (the latter staged as a Die Weltbund terror raid).  The is a  60
Mcr. reward for the destruction of The Obelisk by th LOFW & Die Weltbund.   Its current location is
unknown, but the current
Duke of St. Foy has allowing the LOFWIA to built a base in its outer planets.

Built by the Aslan firm Sorilyr at their yards on Northstar, Intercourse, & Beaumonde, the Aluyhail
combat scout is a tough & useful vessel.  Designed for surviving combat & extreme conditions, she is
fast, agilt & well armed.  Two fixed lasers are mounted in the bow under the avionics package as its
standard armament.  A triple turret can be installed mounted various combination of weapons;
though among Aslan units three missile launchers are the norm.  The ship has two airlocks with
docking capability-one in the stern of the craft & one built into the vehicle launch bay.
Introduced in 1076 & constantly upgraded, the Aluyhail is the most common small craft in
non-heirate Aslan naval units.  14 of these vessels have been purchased by the IISS.  17767 serve in
various Aslan organization thoughout the Beyond, Vanguard Reaches, Trojan Reaches, Touchstone
& the Spinward Marches sectors.  243 serve in various navies & private hands as well as 34 in the
hands of pirates.

Here's some of the designs I came up with over the years.  Most are CC2 version of the original
pen & paper designs, others like the Moisura are original CC2 designs, or like the Shiv, CC2
interpretations of models.  Unfortunately, a few designs have been lost over the years.

SHIPS OF THE HIGH TORTUGA CAMPAIGN
BEAUMONDE INDUSTRIES VIPER IV 100 TONNE ESCORT
A common vessel in the Beyond, The Vanguard Reaches & parts of the Foreven & Far Frontier
sectors, currently 242 in operational use.  The Viper IV, first introduced in 1101, is the first Viper
built from the keel up as a Viper instead of a conversion from a Suleiman S-class scout.  Costing
27.56 MCr., the Viper IV is far more expensive than a conversion, but since it is a purpose built
vesssel it performance outmatches any of the Viper conversion in manuver speed & agility.
The ships serves in the navies of Guildheim, St. Foy, Eslyat Magistry, Ros Confederation, Lilith, &
Liberty Hall.  Several are also in private hands as well, use as escorts or courier vessels. 33 Vipers
mount the standard twin turret of the Suleiman scout/courier. The turret armament is usually
either missiles, lasers or a mix of both types(usually 2 missile, 1 laser). Unlike the conversions, the
Viper IV resembles a standard Suleiman scout in outward appearance.  
 A variant, the IVs scout
built to Phoenix Couriers specifications.  The dorsal turret has been removed, cargo reduced to 1
tonne, the 2 lifepod bays have been removed, and the crew cabin is now a bay for 1 two man
lifepod. Jump drive is increased to jump 4.    Seven IVs have been delivered to Phoenix with 4 more
under construction.

BEAUMONDE INDUSTRIES VIPER III CONVERSION
The first standard production conversion kit, the Viper III started production in 1088.  The kit strips
away & replaces most of the upper deck on the scout. Armament  standard TL10 PAW barbute
concealed in the bow, & a dorsal triple turret (laser, missile, or both). Though the powerplant is
upgraded  (3), the performance is similar to a standard scout/courier.  The conversion kit is designed
for both the Suleiman & Serpent(see Paranoid Press' The Beyond) class scout/courier.   The
conversion can pass a cursory scan & long range visual exam(over 2 km) but will fail easily a  good
sensor operator & close visual scan.   Cost:  25% of the original cost of the scout craft modified if the
client is providing the hull.  If not, the cost is the used hull plus 33-40%.
323 Viper III's have been built with 244 still in operation with various navies.  There is also 23
Serpent class Viper III's  operating with Beaufort Lines as armed couriers.

VIPER III CONVERSION KIT
BEAUMONDE INDUSTRIES VIPER I & II
The first Viper I conversions were a hodgepodge of Imperial, Zhodani, & local 100 tonne
hulls types.  The conversion were a TL10 PAW barbute built onto the dorsal or ventral  
hull of the scout. A few models were produced with an internal mounting but they proved
too an expensive conversion & only 8 were every produced.  The Viper I conversion
drawback that with a standard scout powerplant, the manuver drive was reduced to 1G.
Otherwise, the Viper stats comform to a standard scout performance.  Because of its
cheapness, the design was popular with small navies, Die Weltbund, mercs & bounty
hunters.   Only a few Viper I conversions are produced since 1109.  365 Viper I's have been
produced since 897.

In 1067 the Viper II conversion came into being on a contract from Die Weltbund.  This
conversion includes an upgraded TL10 power plant(3)  replaced the turret with a single
TL9 PAW barbute.   The first 45 examples, the IIA had a problem in combat with the
single weapon (suffering 21 losses in the first 2 decades of operation).  As a result, the IIB
model of 1098 added two bow mounted lasers to boost the armament.   526 version of the
IIB operate in the Beyond, Vanguard Reaches, Fareven,  Far Frontiers & the outer fringes
of the Spinward Marches(the latter mostly with merc units).  The IIB has proven popular
with mercs & pirates.  The Viper is converted mostly from Imperial or Imperial-influenced
scout designs. Performance is standard for the scout/courier the Viper is converted from,
making it limited as a combat ship. The Viper II is the cheapest of the conversion Vipers.
Basic cost is 10% of the original cost of the hull  for the IIA, & 13% of the original cost of
the hulls for the IIB.    If the client does provided the hull, the cost goes to 33%  of the
original hull cost. The IIB's are still being produced by Beaumonde.
GENERIC ICE ASTEROID SHIP
Designed around a nonjump ice asteroid around 4-6K tonnage mass, it can be used for
many types of adventurers, belters, scientists, scouts, pirates, merc, navy, etc.  I have two
variant for the central B-Deck, a large hangar deck & an ore processing plant.
'A' DECK:  The top level of the
asteroid ship. Contains control
center, living quarters, medical &
science facilities.

'B' DECK(ORE PROCESSOR VARIANT):  Besides the processor & the large water
reservoir to service it, this central deck contains arsenal, supplyroom, three docking
ports, 2 for loading/unloading ships & one for unloading ore.  Processed ore is
loading into a warehouse, while waste is loading onto automated garbage shuttles
that spread the wastage over the surface of the asteroid.

nonjump, or for servicing small craft such as fighters or shuttles.  Besides the large hangar
doors there is one ship dock  with attached EVA  and/or security room.

'C' DECK:  The engineering deck.  Contains powerplant, manuver drive, & water processing
plant.  Most of the remote control manuvering thrusters are located on this deck.  The rest of
the thrusters are located on the dorsal & ventral surfaces of the asteroid for up & down thrust.
